History As Impetus

In 1965, William F. Buckley and James Baldwin debated the statement, “The American dream is at the expense of the American Negro” at the Cambridge Union on the campus of Cambridge University. The debate was aired live on the BBC and later re-broadcast on various networks in the United States...

That exchange of critical thought and information became a touchstone for effective, useful debate regarding timely, world-impacting topics.

Today, due to many factors including the proliferation of on-demand, 24-7 communication platforms, opinions are being formed without due process, critical thought, rational argument, and sound reason.

The loudest voice or most charismatic personality wins the day – which often results in subsequent behavior both at the leader and led levels that harms individuals and society as a whole.

What Do You Think?
creates a forum for reasoned, rational arguments on controversial topics of the day.

The show curates involvement from individuals whose arguments are rooted in fact, research, education, and experience regardless of celebrity status or political persuasion.

In each hour-long episode, a central question is addressed by the debaters in organized, mutually respectful fashion, and then put to a live, in-studio and digital audience for opinion.

Results of audience opinions are shared live at the conclusion of each episode.
